Foundation for Future London

A cinematic short film capturing the voices of care leavers in London. Their barriers. Their resilience. Their futures. Made for a youth programme backed by Foundation for Future London, and used to anchor a live funding pitch.

Introduction

A London youth programme working with care leavers needed a short film to anchor a live funding pitch.

Not a generic corporate reel. Something real. Something that actually showed who these young people are.

Production Process

We spent a day on location with King, Daniela, and Trey. Three young people from the care system, each carrying a story worth telling. We filmed them honestly, letting the weight of what they had been through sit alongside the confidence they had found.

The final piece wove their voices into a layered narrative that balanced lived experience with the programme's measurable outcomes and its alignment with the National Youth Strategy.

Outcome

The film successfully became the centrepiece of a live funding pitch. The FFL team shared so many positive remarks and were "constantly amazed".

More importantly, the stories of the care leavers inspired and touched many hearts.
